Why I Can't Stop Talking About Trans Issues

Transgender MMA fighter beats and strangles a woman
I've not blogged in months because all I've got to talk about is trans issues and it seems like I'm going around in circles. Every time I've got some new angle, it's basically women being kicked in the teeth again. I can't give up, though, there's too much at stake. This picture basically sums up my attitude to transgender issues. Males beating up women while the woke cheer it on. No.

Sometimes I'm told I've been radicalised by radfems. This is emphatically not true, although they have provided the material that got me into the position I'm in now. The truth is, I've been radicalised by TREs (trans rights extremists), misogynist men, and handmaidens.

How I got all radicalised and stuff

I used to be well sympathetic with trans people, and had no idea there was any such thing as a transman. I thought they were suffering from dysphoria to the point that they were willing to undergo painful, radical surgery to remove all trace of their maleness so they could become women in the same way as I am. The character Hayley Cropper from Coronation Street solidified this notion, abetted by stories in the press of men who had tried to live with themselves as men but ultimately couldn't, and ended up transitioning to ease the suffering brought on by their dysphoria. The deal was always that the meat and two veg were removed, turned inside out, and made to resemble female genitalia.

The Hindu Tranny Cyborg

In 2016 I wrote a post called, "Has Political Correctness Gone Too Far?" in which I set out my stall: I had always thought that transgender people were transsexuals, and that meant suffering from the most debilitating dysphoria and losing the meat and two veg in order to more closely resemble a woman. When I learned that most of them actually keep their meat and two veg and take low doses of Oestrogen in order to retain sexual function, I began to wonder if they were truly dysphoric. The Hindu Tranny Cyborg is the moment I started asking questions about the transgender movement and what it was about. It took a few years to get me to stop believing in Hayley Cropper and realise that Shaeed is not an outlier. He's actually the classic example of what it means to be transgender. I learned that when you treat these people as women, then put them in charge of anything to do with women, they make it all about them, then get it shut down. I have seen this repeated over and over again since then.

JK Rowling And The TRA Abuse

Rowling has been absolutely vilified for this, even though a court of law ultimately found in favour of Forstater. When she followed up with tweets and an essay explaining her views, she was even more vilified. Haters keep saying she's finished but her Strike series has been commissioned for TV and there's a third Fantastic Beasts film coming out so... yeah. While I was still thinking that Shaed was an outlier, along came the TREs to put me straight, I mean cishet-normative. Generally, when I have a disagreement with someone, I present evidence to back up my assertions. I don't use emotional arguments as a rule, but provide facts. Well this motley lot decided to tie a rocket to the rattle before they threw it out of the pram. Endless death and rape threats, violent pornography, and a campaign of libel and defamation followed and continues to follow. The woke and the wonderful cheered it on and continue to do so. I had no idea how low they would go, given their insistence that they're decent folks who just want to see justice done in the world for oppressed persons. Right...

Techdirt's Misogyny And Rejection Of Factual Reality

Last summer, Techdirt, a blog I've been supporting with my time, blog posts, energy, and even money, turned on me. It started when That One Guy, AKA Tim Geigner, decided to post a tweet asking why people feel the need to pick on trans folk. I hopped in, and during a bruising debate was informed that I had no right to call myself a decent person, or even a mature adult, if I would not accept sharing spaces with men, even when undressed, etc. Prison? "Cis women also commit rape."

I'd have thought that Mike would have spoken to him about his raging migogyny given how he raged against a certain Democrat contender for public office who had stalked and downright terrorised some women for years. No, as it happens. After no doubt seeing my posts, he and Karl both told me that my "views on trans issues are extremely hateful and hurtful" and denied that there is any such thing as cancel culture.

A quick search on the word "TERF" in their search box reveals that the woke readership deems any deviation from the notion that transwomen are actually women is verboten. Cathy Gellis, the one regular writer has effectively been warned not too be a TERF in the comments on one of her posts. Libertarian-leaning Mike and the decidedly left-wing Glyn Moody have both been seen slagging off Gina Carano and calling her a bigot for complaining about cancel culture and comparing it to pre-war Germany when "undesirables" were labeled with yellow stars and marked for destruction. While some people found her statements anti-semitic, they chimed with me given the absolute state of affairs when the dictionary definition of a woman is considered to be hate speech. I can't forget that they cheered on the destruction of women's sports by allowing males to compete as females. They know this is hateful and hurtful to women but it really takes the cake when they call us bigots for not accepting being kicked out of our own sports and spaces for not accepting males as women.

The Wi Spa Flasher

Earlier this year, a man walked into the women-only section of a spa in Los Angeles with a semi-erection. It transpired that he had sat down in the jacuzzi with a little girl years earlier, and the spa staff would do nothing about it because he identified as a woman. Laurie Penny, feminist extraordinaire, has advised us to not be invading his privacy by looking at his junk, I kid you not. When confronted with the fact that he's a convicted sex offender, Penny doubled down. There is no right for male-born people to see women and girls naked. This is wokeness. I reject it.

The Man Who Raped His Own Mother. *Woman

This year, I've seen women being sexually abused in prisons as not being a big enough deal to get male people out of them because manfeelz matter more. I've seen women being pushed aside for mediocre men in the Olympics, and women throwing other women under the bus for woke cookies. But what really broke my insistence on using female pronouns for male-born people (after a lot of resistance to feminists who told me they're Rohypnol) was the story of Chris Chan, who raped his own mother, but woke folk were more concerned about protecting his pronouns than his mother, an elderly woman with Alzheimers.

That whole thread reveals a basket of deplorables who blithely illustrate the problem with TWAW, the notion that transwomen are women.

And now...

All over the world there are efforts to bring in Self-ID so that any man can claim a trans identity without providing any evidence. We see already what happens when this is treated as law, but all of the examples we provide are being ignored because manfeelz matter more. They can beat and choke us on live TV and not only will nobody care, they will applaud it. This, for me, is what trans inclusion actually means and I'm having none of it. They need their own spaces, their own sports, and their own words if they will not accept the sex they were born as. I'm finished with being nice, that's over now. From now on I am implacably opposed to Self-ID, to males in women's spaces for any reason, and to the continuing dehumanisation of women by referring to us as birthing persons, etc. I find this extremely hateful and hurtful, but who cares how I feel? I'm only a woman.
