From the get-go, the left-leaning media has been astroturfing this as a sacred task prosecuted with utmost zeal. Hell, even The Atlantic got in on the act, denigrating women who set up their own women-only forum as a nasty bunch of hate freaks. Now that the unscrupulous tailors of the Emperor's new clothes have been exposed for sending him out into the streets in the altogether, are the pundits on American Left even blushing? Hell, no. They're hailing His Majesty for "promoting a natural lifestyle." To be fair to The Atlantic, they've moved away from unquestioning fealty to actively critiquing the whole trans thing. Ironically, it was a man who stuck up for women, but following his post it seems there's been a major shift in editorial policy there from magical thinking to an evidence-based approach. Other media outlets are following suit, to the chagrin of activists.
I predict that this toxic mess will continue as a feelings v facts debate for some time to come, with nay-sayers reluctantly coming over to our side as reality kicks in. I just wish it would kick harder.
