It's nearly the end of January in a new year and I've not done any blogging for months. The truth is, I've been too heartsick to do it. The news was going round and round in circles and there's only so many times I can talk about how Trump is a chump, Brexit is bad, laissez-faire neoliberalism kills people, wokeness is bunk, and no, trans women are male, not actual women. Now the Americans have a new president. Will 2021 be an improvement on last year?

New Year, New Fear(s)
Well, that's another year gone, and what a crazy one it was. RE: the image: we've become increasingly isolated from each other, preferring the company of those who agree with us and becoming more hostile to those who do not. I expect this to get worse.
Many of my predictions for 2019 were off but I was right about a couple of things. Let's take a look at what happened.

And The Will Of The People Must Be Respected
How the Tories pulled off the world's greatest con job on the British people
And so this is Christmas — and what have we done? Well, we voted the Tories into power because Brexit. That was bloody stupid and we're going to pay for it, big time. I predict the acceleration of the dismantling of the NHS and the welfare state. Our major institutions will continue to crumble and the blame will fall on everyone but the architects of our nation's destruction.
For the love of God, why?

Boris Johnson Is Our PM. Why That's A Good Thing
The man Dominic Cummings has described as “thick as mince, lazy as a toad and vain as Narcissus” is David Davis, but that could just as easily be applied to Boris Johnson. So why am I glad he's our PM now?
